Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Pairing: Aang/Katara
Rating: PG-13

Katara awoke to fingers stroking up and down her back, fleeting and ticklish but still enough to cause her to shiver. Arching, she stretched, face buried against the furred blanket that Gran Gran had given her on her last visit.
She heard a chuckle and lips were pressed at the nape of her neck, a open-mouthed kiss that caused her to laugh breathlessly.
“You’re eager this morning,” she murmured, turning her head and looking at Aang with knowing eyes and an arched brow.
Aang grinned, the expression endearing. “No more than usual,” he said, laying down beside her. She immediately moved closer; resting her head on his chest, tangling her legs with his.
“What do we need to do today?” she asked, rubbing her cheek cat-like against the bulk of his chest; Aang would never be a large man but Katara found his leanly muscled form infinitely more attractive than any other.
“Uh…I have to make a speech to a bunch of Earth Kingdom royals,” he said, stroking her hair gently, curling it around his fingers, eyes intent as he watched it wind and unwind. “I guess they’re still angry about the war.”
Katara sighed. “But it ended three years ago,” she said, trailing her nails up and down his chest, one catching on a nipple. She smiled at his gasp and continued. “I’m not saying they should be over it already, but can’t they at least see that the peace treaties are working?”
Aang smiled again, letting her hair trail out of his fingers. “It’s harder for some people to let go of the past,” he said, and Katara could hear old sorrow in his voice. She paused before tenderly pressing a kiss to his chest.
“Well,” she said, getting up. He watched her in confusion before grinning as she swung one leg over both of his, straddling him. Leaning down, she whispered across his lips, “We don’t have to go just yet, do we?”
Aang laughed. “I’m not in a hurry,” he said, shivering as her hair trailed across his chest and abdomen.
Katara smirk. “Good,” she said, pressing her lips against his.
