Summary: So, just what is Zell afraid of?

"No!" A yell and Zell skittered backwards away from Squall. "I'm not doing it!"

"It's mandatory; Everyone has to." It was clear that Squall's patience was wearing thin. The wrinkle between his eyebrows could attest to that.

"No!" Zell yelled again, shaking his head. "You can tell the Doc that there's no way in hell I'm getting that vaccination shot! She can't make me."

"Maybe, but as Commander of this Garden, I can," Squall said firmly, gray eyes narrowing. "It's for your own good."

"But...but why?" Zell asked, coming dangerously close to a whine. "I just got one three...no, four years ago," he said, counting on his fingers. Squall's raised eyebrow told Zell he was not impressed. "Okay, it's been a while. So what?"

"So, I don't want my lover getting killed by something as simple as because he was too much of a coward to get his vaccination shot," Squall bit out. Stepping forward, he held out his hand. "Come on. I'll go with you."

"No way!" Zell scrambled backwards so quickly that at one point he fell to his knee. "Stay back, man. I'm serious!"

"Or what?" Squall asked, advancing. Before Zell could even tell himself that it was a Very Bad Idea, he threw a punch. It was wild but sure, and landed squarely across Squall's jaw. Squall stumbled backwards, but since it was just a flailing fist, it didn't cause him to fall. Nonetheless...

"You hit me." Incredulous, and a little hurt.

"Oh shit Squall, I-"

"You hit me." Quiet and dreadfully dark. Zell took one look at Squall's eyes and knew true fear.

"Oh shit!" Zell turned and ran out of the office. He could hear Squall's footsteps directly behind him and sent up a quick prayer.

It did no good.

"C'mon Squall, I'm really sorry, you know I didn't mean to do it, would never hurt you on purpose," Zell babbled. His hands were bound tightly together in front of him as he stumbled behind Squall. "But seriously, I'll be fine, don't need a shot, did I mention how sorry I a-"

"Shut. Up." Squall cast a dark, cold glare over his shoulder and Zell shut up, though his brow was furrowed. He ignored the stares and pointing from the students as he and Squall made their way to the Infirmary. It was laughter that did him in.

"Shut the fuck up, ya brats! Or I'll shove my fist down your throats!" he yelled. "I don't need to be untied for that!" He thought he heard a snort come from Squall, but he was too busy trying to stare down a particularly annoying cadet.

Once in the Infirmary, Squall casually shoved Zell in the chair, his face carefully blank as he stared down at Zell's panicked expression. Dr. Kadowaki appeared from behind a curtain, hands already in latex gloves.

"Ah, Zell. I was wondering how I was going to get you in here," she said good naturedly. "Still afraid of needles?"

"No!" Zell said, but he visibly cringed away from her. "But...ain't there a way to...I dunno, drink it or something?" he asked hopefully and she laughed, shaking her head.

"Sorry, these only come in injection form, I'm afraid." She turned away and started messing with various syringes and vials, humming to herself.

"Sadist," Zell muttered under his breath. He glanced over at Squall, who looked like he was trying to keep from smiling. To anyone else he probably looked pretty damn blank but Zell made it a point to figure out his expressions.

"Are you laughing at me?!" he squawked. "Man, that's not right! How can you laugh at your boyfriend's misery."

"I'm not laughing. And if I were, I'd be completely justified. You're acting like a child," Squall responded, gray eyes looking past Zell to the doctor. Leaning forward he grabbed Zell's hand. "Zell."

Zell looked at him, eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Wha-?" He was interrupted when Squall's mouth descended on his, softly at first and then more demanding. Zell's head tipped back along the headrest, pushed back by the force of Squall's kiss. Squall's mouth devoured his while his hand came up and rested along Zell's throat.

Zell could faintly feel someone mess with his left shoulder but he was far too interested in the liquid heat of Squall's mouth. Finally, when he thought he would pass out from oxygen deprivation -not a bad way to go- Squall pulled away. He brushed a kiss along Zell's cheekbone and stared down at him, gray eyes intense. Zell looked back at him and he would have been pleased to see that Squall was flushed and panting slightly if he wasn't doing the same exact thing.

"All done!" Dr. Kadowaki announced and Zell jumped, nearly head-butting Squall, who was still leaning in so close.

"Hey! You two tricked me!" Zell said, pointing an accusatory finger at her. "I can't believe you fuckin' did that! And you!" He turned back to Squall, who was still staring at him, a half-smile forming on his lips. "You too! Deceiving me like that! God! How the fu-" His tirade was interrupted again when Squall jerked him up. Stumbling slightly, his hands still bound, Zell bumped into Squall. "Hey! Where are we going!?"

Squall glanced at him heatedly before looked at Dr. Kadowaki. "Thank you, Doctor," he said, nodding to her and she waved.

"You boys have fun," she said saucily. Squall quirked his lips and tugged at Zell, nearly dragging him out of the Infirmary. She watched them go before turning and fiddling with her syringes. "Ah, to be young," she said, grinnning.
